Introduction of Our New Pastors
Dear People of Sonshine Ministries Church & surrounding communities,
It is with great joy and heartfelt enthusiasm that we introduce to you our new Pastor, Dana Lovley & wife & Co Pastor Kathleen Lovley. We are deeply blessed to welcome Pastor Lovley into our church family and are confident that their leadership and spiritual guidance will be a source of inspiration and renewal for all of us.
Pastor Dana & Kathy comes to us with a wealth of experience and a profound commitment to serving the spiritual needs of the community. With 1 ½ years each at Faith School of Theology in Charleston, Maine. Pastor Dana & Kathy has dedicated over 40 years to ministry, nurturing faith, and fostering a sense of unity and purpose among congregations.
Pastor Dana's journey began when he accepted Christ as his personal Savior in June1976.
My first tenure was at the Carmel Full Gospel Church in Maine as Youth Minister. From there a few years of teaching Sunday school for teens and being Head Usher and different ministries. I was Co-Pastor at The Newburgh Full Gospel Church in Maine. My next step was Senior Pastor at the Etna Foursquare Gospel Church in Maine. Next, Pastor of the Dayspring Foursquare Chapel in Skowhegan Maine. Next, The Lewiston Foursquare Gospel Church for a short term. Then Pastor of The Astatula Foursquare Gospel Church in Florida where we prepared the way for my brother Mathew Lovley who with his wife Jill has and are still the Pastors for almost 20 years. And next The Orlando Foursquare Gospel Church in Florida. From leading youth groups to providing spiritual guidance to congregations of all sizes. His tenure at the Carmel Full Gospel Church laid a strong foundation for what would become a lifetime of ministry, characterized by a tireless commitment to fostering spiritual growth and community well-being. As they take on their new roles, we are confident that their rich history of faith and service will enrich our church in profound ways.
Throughout their ministry, Pastor Dana & Kathy have been known for their compassionate heart, insightful sermons, and unwavering dedication to pastoral care. Their approach to ministry is rooted in a deep love for scripture, a passion for social justice, and a commitment to helping everyone in the congregation grow in their personal walk with Christ.
As we embark on this new chapter together, we are excited about the fresh perspectives and energy Pastor Dana & Kathy will bring to our church. We look forward to their inspiring sermons, thoughtful teachings, and the many ways they will engage with our community.
